Q: Alcohol in drinks 2
Actually i want to be clear on this issue, because here in US, restaurants used small percentage of wine in couple of dishes and it evaporates once its cooked, now as your fatwa states that if it is not intoxicated than its ok to take it, my question is that is there any limit of alcohal percentage that you can set in any thing that would not make it intoxicated and allowed so one can take it? My point about intoxication is that some people get intoxicated by little amount of alcohal and for some doesnt make any difference, how can you define something that is intoxicated or not? actually i want to know exact order, finally it was about no alcohal any more, no question untill or unless exception etc, right? Could you please answer my above questions and clear my concept about it. Jazak ALLAH khair for your time and efforts.
All praise be to Allah, and may His peace and blessings be on His last and best messenger, Muhammad and his purified household and honorable companions. There is a difference between the two cases. In the first case, it pertains to Alcohol that naturally exists in foods and drinks, not Alcohol that you add to them. It would be impermissible to add it, but if it naturally exists or forms during the process of cooking, then the drink will not be called khamr (wine) and deemed impermissible as long as it would not make any one intoxicated. Allah knows best.
