Q: Masjid owns a coffee shop where music is played and people play cards

Asalamu alaikum, I have been a type 1 diabetic for close to 15yrs who is dependant on insulin. I’ve been to somalia and tried many herbal remedies like camels milk, black seed, water that a sheik read quran on, and pure honey (malab saafi). I would like to know is there a cure because i read a hadith that says theres a cure for every disease except death.

All praise be to Allah, and may His Blessings and Peace be โ€Žon His Last Messenger, โ€Ž
Dear brother, โ€Ž
We ask Allah, the Great, Lord of the Great Throne to give โ€Žyou a cure that leaves no infirmity in your body.โ€Ž
Dear brother, there is a cure as the Messenger of Alalh โ€Žโ€Ž(blessings and peace be upon him) said, but it is the will of Allah โ€Žthat there should be disease and suffering in this life, for it is a โ€Žstation of trials and tests. That is why we may not find that cure. โ€Ž
In a report of at-Tabarani in al-Awsat, there is an addition โ€Žto the hadeeth, which reads, “โ€ฆwhether or not someone โ€Žknows itโ€ฆ” So, even though there will be a cure for every โ€Ždisease, we, as humans, may not be able to find it. We were โ€Žencouraged to do our best in seeking that cure, and there is โ€Žnothing beyond that.โ€Ž
Again, the Insulin that you take is a partial cure, because it โ€Žallows you to stay healthy and functional. A few decades ago, โ€Žthe diagnosis of diabetes was almost a slow death sentence. So, โ€Žpraise be to Allah who enabled man to find that “partial” cure. โ€Ž
You seem to have done your best, and I would advise you โ€Žto accept your condition and be consistent with your insulin โ€Žtherapy, and lead a healthy life style physically and spiritually, โ€Žand continue your du’a’ (supplication) for cure. If you do that โ€Žand put your trust in Allah, and show patience and resolve, you โ€Žwill start to feel much better inshallah. โ€Ž
Finally, don’t forget the reward of patience; Allah said,โ€Ž

The patient ones shall be paid their reward without reckoning as โ€ŽAllah said, and that is probably why the Prophet (blessings and โ€Žpeace be upon him) said, โ€Ž

Q: Stones in kidney…Can I fast?

Salam what is the fatwa for above question i have stones in both kidnies alhamdoulelleha i have been fasting but my Dr. told me i have to drink water all the time please advise salam

All praise be to Allah, and may His Blessings and Peace be on His Last Messenger,
Please, see a Muslim physician to discuss the medical aspect of your enquiry. If you can’t find one, see a non-Muslim physician and explain your condition to him. You may also get a second opinion.
As for the Islamic ruling, it is contingent upon what the physician will say. If it is harmful to fast, then you should not, and you should instead make up later when the condition resolves. If it was chronic, you will only need to feed one meal to one poor person per each day you break the fast.
You certainly can’t maintain your fasting while drinking water.

Q: When does the day startand end?

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah. I have heard that the days in Islam end once Maghrib is prayed… Like Ramadan starts after sunset is prayed– with the moon sighting and all taken into account… If that is the case, then why is the first prayer Fajr and not Isha, and why is Isha the last prayer and not Maghrib. Basically when does the day end and begin? JazakAllahu Khairan!!

All praise be to Allah, and may His Blessings and Peace be on His Last Messenger,
You are right; the day ends with Maghrib. The night of the next day then starts.
When you hear the first, last or middle, you should ask yourself in reference to what?
For instance the ‘Asr is the middle prayer because it is between a day prayer and a night prayer. Dhuhr is the first, for it is the first prayer to be conducted in Islam when Jibreel descended to pray with the Prophet the day next to the night of the Night Journey and Ascent.
The day starts with Fajr and the night starts with Maghrib. The night precedes the day, so the night of the 12th is from the Maghrib that occurs on (right after) the 11th.

Q: What can I do during the marriage contract?

Am a girl who just got her marriage contract… My husband asking me do sexual relation and he telling me there is no limit between the spouse at this time of Marriage contract but i dont feel comfortable doing those sexual relation with him, because my father told me not to do anything except kissing on face, and hugging, and touching hands. What can i do?

All praise be to Allah, and may His Blessings and Peace be on His Last Messenger,
You should listen to your father. If your husband wants to consummate the marriage, then he should talk to your father and proceed with that.
During this stage, you may not have intercourse with your husband, but if that happened, though an infraction and betrayal of trust, it is not considered zina because he is in fact your husband.
Allah knows best.
