– Not a new concept brought by Islam
– Hijab in the bible and Jewish traditions
– Bible: (Corinthians 11:3-10) Woman needs to cover because she is the glory of man.
– Islam gives a superior explanation of hijab – to protect chastity and dignity

Polygamy
– Not a new concept in Islam
– Examples of polygamy in the bible
– All previous prophets had many wives and they carried the message
– Logically:
– Western world is more polygamous
– Cases when the wife is sick
– Historically, men have been polygamous and had stable households and not the opposite
– Problem of societies with more women. The solutions are
1. Celibacy
2. Promiscuity
3. Co-wifery
– Cases when a man is not fulfilled with just one
